UNITED STATES – Listen up, Toyota owners. There is a Toyota recall in effect. Toyota is recalling hundreds of thousands of SUVs and pickup trucks due to air bag and brake problems. This adds to over sixty thousand other vehicles that were recalled earlier in the week. Apparently, this affects the Land Cruiser and the Tacoma Pickup.
The issues are potentially dangerous. With Land Cruiser, as well as the Lexus LX 570 SUVs, there seems to be a problem with the front passenger seat belt. The tension sensor could malfunction. This would deactivate the passenger’s air bags. As a result, passengers might not be fully protected in the event of an accident or crash. Toyota stated that they are working to solve the issue. They will notify owners of the vehicle before the middle of February.
But, there is another Toyota recall. Over 45,000 Tacoma pickup trucks from 2018 to 2018 are being recalled. The issue with the pickup trucks? It is with the brake seal. This could result in brake fluid leaking. Toyota plans to replace brake master cylinders for free. Owners of the truck should be notified before the end of January.
If you own one of these vehicles and want to check if yours is being recalled, you can do so by inputting your VIN number here. Currently, there are no reports as to whether any accidents or injuries have been caused from these issues. Hopefully, owners will turn in the vehicles to be fixed before these can occur.
